Women’s Handgun 1 6:30 – 9:30 pm

THIS CLASS IS HELD WHEN THE RANGE IS CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC TO PROVIDE A COMFORTABLE LEARNING EXPERIENCE.

  Class Overview This introductory class is for women only. It is designed to build a solid foundation of shooting fundamentals. If you have little to no shooting experience, this is your first step. It will give you the confidence and knowledge in how to safely handle and shoot a firearm. You do not need to own a firearm to attend this class. Class size maximum of 6.

  • Proper Trigger Press
  • Muzzle Management
  • Proper Loading & Unloading Procedures
  • Accurate Shot Placement

Additional: – You will learn how to SAFELY AND EFFECTIVELY use dry fire practice drills as a key part of learning and practicing.

Cost: $90 Student supplies their own Firearm & Ammo; Price includes Range Fee

Ammunition available for use in the class in 9mm & .380 from the instructor for a cost of $20.00.

  •  Wraparound eyewear, polycarbonate lenses or non-shattering prescription glasses and hearing         protection  (Eye and hearing protection are available for no charge.)
  • Ammunition: Is not included /You will need an estimated  100 rounds   (Ammunition is       available for purchase for 9mm, .380 and .22)

TWAW Shooting Chapters are focused on introducing women to the world of firearms. Our mission is to Educate, Equip and Empower women as they strive to make important personal choices in their lives. We also are involved in several community projects.

We invite women 21 years and older of all experience levels to join us for our next meeting.

We are looking for Women who…

  • Are just getting started with buying, shooting, and caring for firearms, and want to learn in a comfortable environment.
  • Have some level of experience and want to advance their skills.
  • Want to share their knowledge and expertise to help other women.
  • Want to have some FUN and enjoy learning and shooting in the company of other women.

What do I need to bring?

  • Ear & Eye protection (Also available at the range for no charge)
  • Firearm(s) if you have them – this is not necessary as Basics has a large selection of rental guns.  The gun rental is free to TWAW members – you do need to buy their ammunition.
  • Ammo for your firearms if you have it – or money for ammo if you don’t have your own
  • $12.00 range fee money for TWAW members if you are not a member of Basics  (You do NOT need to be a member of Basics to join our Chapter)

You must be a member of TWAW in order to participate in range time!

It is also a “tune-up” for those who are interested in taking Women’s Handgun 2.  Additional time will be spent on shooting accuracy, maximizing range time practice, and using dry fire practice to keep up your shooting skills when you can’t get to the range.

 

This class is held when the range is closed to the public to provide a comfortable learning environment.  Class size is a MINIMUM of 4 and a MAXIMUM of 8.  Pre-registration and a $25.00 is required to hold a spot in the class.  Email basics.training20@gmail.com to register and deposit.
